The importance of becoming

               The importance of becoming

We grow to become rich one day or become happy one day but that day never comes and we get angry at ourselves for not achieving the target of becoming something in our life.

But, does it really happen the way as we ought to think?  No, it never happens as we think.

if I were to tell you-

you will take birth and die and nothing happens in between.a day comes and night happens. the story starts and the story ends. the match starts and match ends

On a linear line, we have imagined two fixed points where one is the starting point and another is the endpoint. In between, there are infinite start and end points which add together to make one single biggest starting point and a big endpoint.

Many micro-moments are hidden between those points which we somehow ignore in search of looking for a bigger moment or a bigger happiness. Unaware of the reasoning that these ignored micro-moments constitute to become our greatest happiness. As superficial as it may sound but it seems perfectly true in our case where everything is divided into proper time slots.

Every activity has been assigned a particular frame of time in which we perform that particular task.
Today morning I read a letter by novelist Kurt Vonnegut.

Kurt Vonnegut

He wrote A letter to the students of Xavier high school, New York in 2006. It has profound suggestions which can make our life much easier. It talks about a different viewpoint about how we perceive our life and the work we do.He asked students to practice becoming. Do anything You like.Be it writing, painting, dancing, music, sculpting etc. Practice becoming in that art form, not for money, not for fame but to search inside your soul and to find What makes you happy? We can be the person who enjoys a particular art, no matter how terrible it is at the beginning but he enjoys the process of becoming great in it.
